Everyone’s entitled to one good scare

Halloween is my second favorite holiday — behind only Christmas.

There is so much about the spooktastic day that appeals to me — from watching the excitement and awe on the faces of children all dressed up to eating as much candy as you can without being looked down upon.

Halloween is a day we could all be a kid again.

And in that perspective, we also have the opportunity to scare ourselves silly.

Looking for that perfect Nazi comedy?

Are you looking for that perfect movie to curl up with that special somebody and watch tonight?

If so, I suggest watching “When Harry Met Sally” or “My Best Friend’s Wedding.”

But if you’re looking for the quintessential Norwegian Nazi comedy, do I have the cinematic masterpiece for you: “Dead Snow!”

It’s so bad, it’s great — complete with Norwegian Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions, painful deaths, poor judgement calls, dismal cell phone reception, memorable one-liners and snowmobile-mounted machine guns.

A lot could be said about “Dead Snow,” but there is one thing I think we could all agree on: It’s like something you have NEVER seen before.
